Thank you, Friends and Neighbors
for helping make our annual auction on July 18 such a success. Beautiful weather and a great location, combined with a large and enthusiastic attendance, all contributed for another perfect day for helping our 22 Shriners Childrens Hospitals.
Again we gratefully thank you for your support and hope to see you all again next year!
Nestled in the mountains just south of Asheville, North Carolina, is the town of Hendersonville, home of the Hendersonville Shrine Club. With a membership of about 300 Nobles, our club consistently produces more money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children than any other club in our area.
How do we do that? Very simple. We work hard and have the support of an appreciative population, many of whom have been personally touched by having a family member or friend who has been successfully treated at one of our Shriners Hospitals.
We owe our success to those who support and believe in us.
Another
reason for the overall success of the Shriners is that people know the money
we raise will actually go to the hospitals. To substantiate that
claim, the December 2002 issue of Money Magazine in their article,
“Make Your Donations Count,” rated the Shriners
Hospitals for Children as one of the most efficient health
charity in the United States. Of the money we collect on
behalf of these hospitals, about
95 % goes directly to the hospitals. The excellent
reputation that Shriners Hospitals is achieving throughout America can –
and does – have a positive impact on donations, patient referrals
and public awareness.
